| Symptoms |
Typical Duration |
- Fever that comes on quickly (38– 40oC; 100–104oF);
- Sweating and feeling feverish;
- General muscle aches and pains;
- A feeling of general tiredness;
- Dry, chesty cough;
- Sneezing;
- Running or blocked nose;
- Difficulty sleeping.

The fever can last for 3-5 days, with the other symptoms lasting for up to 2 weeks. |
| Self-Help Advice |
- Get vaccinated if you are in an at risk group.
- Stay in bed until the acute symptoms have passed;
- Follow the same advice as given for Coughs & Colds.
